SOLE at the AGO

Rachel’s Art, Photography, and Graphic Design classes visited the Art Gallery of Ontario to check out a number of exhibits, including Impressionism in the Age of Industry and Mickalene Thomas’ Femmes Noires. It was a full, exciting day of culture and creativity!

Tropical Welcome Party!

It may be cold outside, but new and returning SOLE students kept warm with a tropical-themed party, music, and food catered from the Real Jerk.

Thanks to the Student Council for some amazing decorating and real school spirit! If you’re interested in organizing more cool events like this, why not join us Mondays at lunch in the Tech Lab?

SNOW DAY!

Due to significant combination of snow, ice pellets & freezing rain expected throughout the day, all TDSB schools & administrative sites are closed today.

Interested in studying abroad?

The Study and Go Abroad Fair back to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is on March 3rd.

At the fair, students will be able to meet face-to-face with representatives from colleges and universities from around the world, as well as embassies and education consortia. They will learn about admission requirements, program choices, visas and scholarships available. Free seminars will also be held during the event, starting at noon. As well, student travel organizations will be on hand to give out information on gap year options, including language travel, internships and work abroad programs.

The expo is open from 1-5pm, but we recommend that students come early to attend the Feature Seminar on Scholarships.

Check the website (http://www.studyandgoabroad.com/student-expo) for more information on exhibitors, scholarships offered, and free seminars.
