Please note that Friday, April 14th at 3 pm is the school-wide deadline for all Term 1 work. Late work will be counted as zero, unless you have a valid doctor’s note and permission from the admin. Speak to your teachers in advance if you’re struggling to meet this deadline!

There are special activities scheduled for the following Wednesdays. Make sure you have your field trip forms signed!

April 12: Field trip to Dis/Mantle (afternoon only)

April 19: Therapy dogs!

April 26: Blue Jays game (afternoon only)

Finally, if you need volunteer hours, the SOLE Open House is Thursday, April 20th from 5:30-6:30. We would love to have student volunteers! Talk to any of your teachers to sign up or for more information.

Parent/Guardian-Teacher Interviews are Tuesday, March 21st! The class schedule is as follows:

P1: 9-9:35 am
P2: 9:40-10:15 am
P3: 10:20-10:55 am
P4: 11-11:45 am

Interviews are scheduled from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm. You can still sign up for an interview at Parentinterview.com! If you’re having trouble registering or can’t make the interview date, you can always email your child’s teacher directly.

IMPORTANT FOR RETURNING STUDENTS 2023-2024

Course Selection for next school year will take place from Monday, Feb. 27 to Friday, March 3. 

All selections will be done with Beti. All students, including those not returning, will have to fill out a form. 

SOLE students ventured downtown to the tdsbCREATES 2022-3 show, Ignite. The show, at Artscape Youngplace, features visual arts, film, and performing arts from students from across the TDSB.

SOLE’s installation, Ignite Masks, is a multimedia feast for the eyes, featuring papier mache masks, epoxy resin photo prints, and augmented reality. Rachel’s semester 1 Visual Arts class worked with artist mentor Leslie Ashton to bring the project to life. It is a collaboration between 12 students and highlights their creativity and energy.

The month of February we proudly recognize African Heritage (Black History) Month.   It is an occasion to celebrate the many achievements and contributions of peoples of African descent to Canada and the world.  The chosen theme for 2022-2023 is Black Joy.
