Making tacos in World Cultures
Everyone likes tacos, but how much do you really know about them? Popular across Mexico, traditional tacos are a fusion of indigenous Aztec and and Spanish cuisine, but the hard shell tacos are a relatively new invention, dating back to the end of the 19th century. Rachel and Christina’s World Cultures class discussed the cultural history of this most delicious food while making refried bean and beef tacos. Yum!

Making hummus with Christina
Rachel and Christina’s World Cultures classes made hummus, a delicious chickpea dip that’s a staple of Middle Eastern cuisine and every potluck you’ve ever attended. The right combination of spices (and way more garlic than the recipe says) and a few seconds in the blender, and you’re good to go. A special thanks to MPC’s Chef for letting us use his kitchen.
